Frustrated by getting his first mortgage, Doug Lebda saw a need to empower consumers in what is, for most, the largest financial transaction in their lives – financing a home. He envisioned a process where lenders would compete for the borrower's business in a fair and open marketplace. And through this process, lenders would be able to target exactly the right consumers to grow. With that vision and his passion for driving innovation, Doug founded LendingTree in 1996 which has revolutionized how consumers shop for loans and how lenders reach new customers.
After launching LendingTree nationally in July 1998, Doug led the company through a successful IPO in 2000, through the dot-com meltdown of 2001 and a successful sale to IAC/InterActiveCorp in 2003. From 2005 to 2008, Doug served as IAC's President and Chief Operating Officer, leading the company through a transition from a holding company to a unified operating company. In 2008, Doug rejoined LendingTree as it spun out from IAC as a separate public company. Today, LendingTree connects consumers and businesses more broadly than just mortgages including; cars, auto finance, education and home services. In addition to LendingTree and his non-profit work, Doug helps lead other companies that are transforming the way consumers transact online. He's the Chairman of the Board of Recyclebank (recently named one of the 50 most innovative companies in the world), Co-Founder of Tykoon (an innovative financial platform for families and children) and is an active mentor and angel investor.
Before founding LendingTree, Doug worked as an auditor and consultant for PriceWaterhouseCoopers. He holds a Bachelors degree from Bucknell University and an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.
Gabe Dalporto joined LendingTree in April 2011 and is Chief Financial Officer
Gabe brings 18 years of primarily marketing and financial services experience to his role at LendingTree. He was most recently Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer of online brokerage Zecco Holdings, where he led integrated online and offline marketing, business development and PR. While at Zecco, Gabe developed and launched the company's cutting edge financial social networking platform. Other experience includes serving as a VP in marketing at E*Trade Financial, where he was part of the senior marketing leadership team that re-ignited the company's growth following the dot-com bust; and a VP in marketing at JP Morgan Chase where he spearheaded cross sell initiatives. Gabe also has experience in database marketing, strategy consulting and nuclear engineering.
Gabe earned a BS in nuclear engineering from the University of Florida and an MS in nuclear engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is an avid Gators fan.
Nikul Patel brings 16 years of technology and product management experience to the role at LendingTree. His career has revolved around transforming online financial services for the benefit of consumers. Prior to joining the team, Nikul was COO/VP Products for Home-Account.com, a start-up with an innovative mortgage shopping experience. Home-Account was later acquired by Bills.com where Nikul served as President of Lendage, the long form mortgage business of Bills.com. Nikul is a co-founder of online real estate search website Movoto.com and also worked at Intel Corporation for 12 years in senior management capacity where he managed technology products and services for the company.
Nikul possesses an MBA with honors in finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Neil Salvage has served as President of the Company since November 2016. Prior to that, Mr. Salvage held the title of Chief Revenue Officer since June 2015. Neil joined the company as General Manager of the LendingTree Home Pros business in July 2013. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Salvage served as Head of Digital Sales for CBS Television and Radio, Executive Vice President of CityGrid Media and Vice President of Yellowpages.com. He also is frequently featured as a panelist at many industry conferences, including Kelsey Group, Association of Directory Marketing, Inc. and Search Engine Strategies.
Mr. Salvage holds two Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of South Carolina in each of Business Administration and Management. Mr. Salvage also holds an M.S. degree in Computer Resources and Information Management from Webster University.
Carla Shumate has been appointed as Chief Accounting Officer of LendingTree, effective January 31, 2013. Carla joined the Company in December 2012 from King Pharmaceuticals, Inc. where she held various positions from 2001 until 2012, including Senior Vice President and Controller since 2005. Previously, Carla held various positions with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP from 1993 until 2000, including Manager from 1998 until 2000.
Carla received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Wake Forest University and has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1997
Brad Wilson joined LendingTree in July 2017 as its Chief Marketing Officer, and is responsible for overseeing the company’s brand strategy, marketing operations and consumer engagement.
Wilson joins LendingTree with a highly successful track record of driving growth and profitability for recognizable consumer brands such as Nutrisystem and Match.com. In his most previous role at Travelocity, Wilson was instrumental in the company's performance turnaround, revitalizing the Travelocity brand in North America prior to the company's sale to Expedia, Inc. Wilson was then appointed General Manager of the Travelocity business inside of Expedia, Inc., where he was responsible for the retail operations, business profit, brand strategy, marketing efficiency and customer lifecycle management. He successfully led the company through its highest level of profitability and record new customer growth in its first full year of integration with Expedia.
Brad earned his Bachelor’s at the University of Texas at Austin and his MBA from The Cox School of Business at SMU.
